Allmendingen Castle

The Schloss Allmendingen is a castle from the 16th century in the municipality Allmendingen bei Bern in the Swiss canton of Bern .

history

Judging by the architectural style, the castle seems to have been built in the 16th century. A door on the tower bears the year 1607. In the 18th century the castle was expanded into a campaign by the mayor Isaak Steiger and his son Franz Ludwig Steiger .

On September 17, 1946, Winston Churchill visited Allmendingen Castle.
