Allmendingen bei Bern is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern .
geography
Allmendingen is located between Rubigen and Muri bei Bern, southeast of the city of Bern .
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1239 as a country seat of Rudolf von Alwandingen. In the 16th century Alwandingen became Allmendingen. On September 17, 1946, Winston Churchill visited Allmendingen Castle.
Until the end of 1992 Allmendingen was part of the political municipality Rubigen together with Rubigen and Trimstein and only became an independent municipality from January 1, 1993.

The voting shares of the parties at the 2019 National Council elections were: SVP 33.1%, BDP 12.6%, FDP 13%, SP 10.7%, glp 10.4%, GPS 9.4%, EVP 2.1%, CVP 1.7%, EDU 1.6%. Pirates 1%, another 4.4%.
traffic
On July 20, 1922, the Allmendingen stop was opened on the Bern – Thun railway line . This, however, was away from the settlement and was not very frequented. The stop was canceled when the timetable changed in 1982. Since then, the community has been served by a regional bus line from Bern to Solothurn .
