Attractions
The Blasenfluh is with 1118 m. ü. M. the highest vantage point Oberthals. Up until a few years ago there was always a "blistering flue chilbi". During the First World War a wooden observation and lookout tower was built, which was later demolished. The base is still there. The possibility of rebuilding the bubble tower is currently being investigated.
The Lychleu stone , a 1.6 m high granite column, lies on the edge of the road to Grosshöchstetten. Its meaning is interpreted in different ways (boulder, boundary stone of the former courts of Bern and Signau, legend of apparent dead). According to the custom, the passing funeral procession stopped here for a prayer. Today, however, the stone has lost its importance with the disappearance of the funeral procession.
