The area of the 7.2 km² municipal area includes a section of the Längenberg. Most of the area was under the ice of the Aar glacier during the high stage of the Würm Ice Age . That is why the landscape shows rounded forms carved by the glacier, and there are moraine deposits in various places . The main part of the area is taken up by the saddle of Niedermuhlern, which rises to the north to the ridge of Tann ( 880  m above sea level ) and to the south to the Bütschelegg, the northern flank of which consists of the Rattenholz forest. To the east, the height of the Längenberg drops steeply towards the Gürbetal, the eastern municipal boundary runs on the slope above Toffen at around 700  m above sea level. M.
