Gurbrü ( French. Rarely also Corbruil ) is a political municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
In addition to the residents' community, there is also a civic community under this name .
geography
Gurbrü is located in the Swiss plateau on the edge of the Grosse Moos . The community consists of the village of Gurbrü and the hamlet of Stämpflerei, which until 1854 belonged to the community of Ried bei Kerzers, Canton of Friborg. The neighboring communities starting from the north in a clockwise direction are Wileroltigen , Ferenbalm , Ried bei Kerzers and Kerzers itself.

The voting shares of the parties on the occasion of the National Council elections in 2015 were: SVP 57.1%, SP 13.2%, BDP 9.0%, GPS 4.4%, GLP 3.3%, SD 2.8%, EVP 2.7 %, CVP 2.6%, EDU 2.3%, FDP 2.2%.

traffic
Gurbrü is on the A1 , but has no driveway itself. The Kerzers– Gümmenen railway runs through Gurbrü, but the stop is a little off the beaten track in Ferenbalm and was changed to the timetable change 8./9. December 2018 finally closed. This stop on request made it possible to get to Bern via Flamatt or Bern- Bümpliz . Alternatively, there are good rail connections in four directions in nearby Kerzers.
history
1963–1981 an overall improvement led to larger plots in agriculture. In 2014 Gurbrü celebrates its 800th anniversary.
