Hauben is a village in the municipality of Oberdiessbach in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland . On 1 January 1888, the former municipality was with the community Oberdiessbach merged .
history
The Huoba farm was created as a late clearing in the forest area of the Diessbach lordship above the Kiesental at 760 m; In 1572 it was first awarded in inheritance. Through the distribution of property, a small farmer and Tauner community was created without common land and forest, which was held together by the poor being supported by all. Hauben was constituted as a political municipality in 1834; because it turned out to be too small, it was merged with Oberdiessbach in 1887.
In 1764 there were 63 inhabitants. In 1850 there were 120 and 115 in 1880.
