Gerzensee New Castle

The New Gerzensee Castle is a 17th century French Baroque style castle in the municipality of Gerzensee in the canton of Bern , Switzerland .

history

The castle was built by Samuel Morlot around 1690. In 1755 Franz Emanuel Anton von Graffenried bought the rule. In 1813 the von Graffenried family sold the New Palace to the von Erlach family . The property was acquired in 1918 by the Lindemann and Losinger families, who sold it to the Swiss National Bank in 1980 . In 1984 the property was transferred to the Gerzensee Study Center Foundation , which, among other things, conducts basic and advanced training courses for central bank staff.
