Gianni Crea

Gianni Crea (born January 4, 1938 in Siderno , Reggio Calabria ) is a former Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Crea initially graduated with a diploma as a geodesist before turning to film. He studied at CIAC , volunteered with Roberto Rossellini and was assistant director to Gianni Puccini . After making a few short films in the early 1970s a. a. quite a few spaghetti westerns , which due to the very cheap production conditions are considered to be among the worst films of this genre and some of them were only given regional distribution.
