Gianni Lanzinger

Gianni Lanzinger (born September 29, 1941 in Bozen ) is an Italian lawyer and politician from South Tyrol .

Life

After completing his studies, Lanzinger began working as a lawyer in the 1960s. He runs a law firm specializing in labor law in Bolzano.

Lanzinger was politically influenced early on through contacts with Lidia Menapace . First he was active in the Catholic youth movement around the time of the Second Vatican Council , then in the Lotta Continua . In the 80s Lanzinger was a member of the Bolzano municipal council several times: from 1980 to 1985 he represented the Neue Linke / Nuova Sinistra founded by Alexander Langer , from 1985 to 1987 the alternative list for the other South Tyrol and finally in 1989 the Greens . In 1987, Lanzinger was able to move into the Italian Chamber of Deputies , to which he was a member until 1992, as a candidate for the Greens via a national residual vote mandate .
