Gianni Verna

Gianni Verna (born November 18, 1942 in Turin ) is an Italian engraver and xylograph .

Career

Verna was born in Turin on November 18, 1942. He graduated from the Albertina Academy in Turin as a student of Francesco Casorati for painting and Francesco Franco for graphics. He held xylography courses at the International School of Fine Art Il Bisonte in Florence . For years he devoted himself to gravure printing and finally chose xylography as a means of expression.

His engravings are in the collections of the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris and in the print room of the Uffizi in Florence.
