Giannis Poulopoulos
Giannis Poulopoulos ( Greek Γιάννης Πουλόπουλος ; born June 29, 1941 in Mani , Greece ; † August 23, 2020 ) was a Greek singer .
Life
Shortly after his birth, his parents moved near Athens. At 19, Poulopoulos had the opportunity to audition to some of the greats in Greek music, Mikis Theodorakis and Vassilis Tsitsanis . Then Mikis Theodorakis declared that he would make a singer out of Poulopoulos and gave him three songs.
In the 1960s to 1980s he had numerous hits in Greece. It was the fourth best-selling album in Greece. Poulopoulos lived in Greece.
He died on August 23, 2020 at the age of 79.
