Gianuario Carta
Gianuario Carta (born January 1, 1931 in Bitti , Italy , † February 14, 2017 in Cagliari ) was an Italian lawyer and politician of the Democrazia Cristiana (DC).
Life
Carta was born in Bitti in the Sardinian province of Nuoro in 1931 .
He graduated from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore with a degree in law . He was an attorney and president of the Nuoro Province Lawyers.
From 1983 to 1986 he was Minister for the Merchant Navy in the Craxi I cabinet . He was elected twice to the Chamber of Deputies , from 1968 to 1983 and from 1983 to 1992 to the Senate .
