Gideon Crusher
Gideon Brecher , also Gedaliah Ben Eliézer , (born January 12, 1797 in Prossnitz , Archduchy of Austria ; died May 14, 1873 there , Austria-Hungary ) was an Austrian doctor and writer .
Life
Brecher studied medicine in Budapest until 1824 . He then worked as a hospital doctor in his hometown. 1849 doctorate he in Erlangen Dr. med. With his dissertation on The Transcendental, Magic and Magical Healing Types in the Talmud , which was printed in Vienna in 1850, he suddenly gained fame as a Jewish philosopher , as this was the first comprehensive work on Jewish magic.
Breaker who was uncle of Moritz Steinschneider .
