Gielsdorf is a village in the municipality of Alfter in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1969 Gielsdorf was an independent municipality of the Duisdorf office in what was then the district of Bonn .
geography
Gielsdorf is about a kilometer southeast of the center of Alfter (place) on the slope of the foothills . In the south, Gielsdorf has grown together with Oedekoven . The former municipality of Gielsdorf had an area of 4.10 km².
history
Since the 19th century Gielsdorf was a rural community in the mayor's office Oedekoven (from 1928 Amt Oedekoven , from 1937 Amt Duisdorf ) in the district of Bonn. On August 1, 1969, the municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Alfter by the Bonn Act .
