Gijs Blom
Gijs Blom (born January 2, 1997 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch actor .
Blom played the title role in the Dutch musical Ciske de Rat between 2007 and 2009 . He is also known for his roles in the films Jongens (2014) and Nena (2014) as well as for his self-made short film Escapade (2014).
Life
In 2011 Blom played his first film role in the motion picture Sonny Boy by Maria Peeters . In 2012 he played a small role in the film Urfeld and in the German film A Woman Disappears . Two years later he got the role of the gay teen winner in the hit film Jongens by Mischa Kamp , the role of Olivier in the film Kankerlijers by Lodewijk Crijns and a supporting role in the feature film Nena by Saskia Diesing . In September 2014, the film Pijnstillers followed , based on the book of the same name byCarry Slee . In this production, Blom played the role of Casper .
On June 4, 2014, Blom won four prizes for his film Jongens at the 54th Film Festival in Zlín (Czech Republic), including the audience award and the award for best actor. For the same role he was nominated for a Golden Calf in the Best Actor category that year .
