Silk Road - Kings of the Darknet (Original title: Silk Road ) is a Dutch drama film directed by Mark de Cloe from 2017. The television film is loosely based on the incidents surrounding the Silk Road trial .

To attract the attention of the taciturn neighbor boy Raymond, the Dutch student Daphne hacked his computer. Impressed by her skills, he offers her a job. After she passes his exam to deliver a package to his partner Sem, they initiate Daphne into their company. On the Darknet , Raymond and Sem trade drugs on the virtual black market Silk Road .
The trio becomes the largest online drug dealer in the world and attracts the attention of the drug search. To minimize the risk, they need more middlemen. Daphne recruits her fellow student Jimmy as a courier. In a bigger deal, they run into gangsters who kidnap Jimmy to blackmail the trio. Instead of paying the ransom, they hire a killer at Silk Road to kill the kidnappers. After this incident, Sem got out and went to France. Daphne and Raymond also go into hiding and begin a love affair.
Meanwhile, Jimmy fears for Daphne's safety and goes to the police with her father. They track down Sem in France and offer him a deal to play Daphne against Raymond. They take half of the Silk Road Bitcoins and stage Sem's death. When Daphne learns of Sem's apparent death, she believes Raymond killed him in retaliation for the loss of the bitcoins. She then betrays him to the police, who arrested him in Venezuela. After that, however, Daphne receives a call from Sem and she realizes the plot.
Daphne returns to the drug business and refines her techniques to evade drug searches. She is waiting for Raymond to be released from prison.
