Gilbert R. Hill

Gilbert R. "Gil" Hill (born November 5, 1931 in Birmingham , Alabama , † February 29, 2016 in Detroit , Michigan ) was an American police officer and part-time film actor .

Career

Gil Hill was a Detroit City Homicide detective inspector. He also appeared as a casual actor in the films of the Beverly Hills Cop series , where he played the role of Eddie Murphy's manager as Inspector Todd . Hill was elected to the Detroit City Council in 1989 and ran in 2001 for the election of the mayor of Detroit, which he lost to Kwame Kilpatrick . He was married to his wife Delores Hooks from 1955 until her death in 2015.
