Gilles Chaillet
Gilles Chaillet (born June 3, 1946 in Paris , † September 14, 2011 in Margency ) was a French comic artist and scenarist .
Gilles Chaillet started working for Dargaud in 1965 as a graphic designer, layouter and colorist. From 1976 he became a draftsman of Jacques Martin's series L. Frank , while Martin continued to write the scenarios. This is how volumes 5 to 13 came about. In 1980, Chaillet's history series Vasco started in Tintin , which takes place in 14th century Italy. He drew and wrote a total of 21 volumes. Other works were Les Voyages d'Orion (1993–1995, 2 volumes), La Dernière Prophétie (2002–2012, 5 volumes) and Vinci (2008–2009, 2 volumes). As a scriptwriter, he wrote the texts for Tombelaine (2001–2006, 5 volumes), Intox (2003–2008, 5 volumes) and Les Boucliers de Mars (2011–2012, 2 volumes).
In 2005 he was honored with a Yellow Kid in Rome for his life's work.
