Gilles Loiselle

Gilles Loiselle , PC (born May 20, 1929 in Ville-Marie , Québec ) is a politician of the progressive-conservative party of Canada , who was among other things a member of the lower house of Canada between 1988 and 1993 and was temporarily a minister.

Life

Loiselle completed an undergraduate degree , which he completed with a Bachelor of Arts (BA). He then worked as an administrative employee and journalist . On November 21, 1988 he was elected in the Langelier constituency as a candidate of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada to the House of Commons of Canada and belonged to this until his defeat in the subsequent election on October 25, 1993.

Loiselle was from January 30, 1989 to June 24, 1993 Minister of State in the Treasury and at the same time between September 20, 1990 and June 24, 1993 in the 24th cabinet of Prime Minister Brian Mulroney President of the Treasury. In the following 25th Cabinet of Prime Minister Kim Campbell, he held the office of Treasury Secretary from June 25 to November 3, 1993.
