The Bullfinch Publishing was in Langenhagen at Hannover -based publishing house, which was from 2006 to 2017.

history

Adam Opyrchal (also: Adam Jaromir ) and Luca Emanueli were shareholders of the publishing house . Gimpel-Verlag mainly published books by Polish illustrators. In addition to Adam Jaromir, the authors at Gimpel include Chris Bezzel , Iwona Chmielewska , Pawel Pawlak and Gianni Rodari , the illustrators Gabriela Cichowska , Iwona Chmielewska, Chiara Emanueli, Pawel Pawlak and Józef Wilkoń . (2014), At Home There are (2014), Fantastic Animals: The Wonderful World of Józef Wilkońs (2014) and abc.de (2015) thirteen books have been published by Gimpel-Verlag.

Some of the books published by Gimpel-Verlag received various nominations and awards. Fantje received an honorable mention in the first work category at the Bologna Ragazzi Award 2011. Blumka's diary - From life in Janusz Korczak's orphanage was included in the list of recommendations for the Catholic Children's and Young People's Book Prize in 2011 and nominated in 2012 for the German Young People's Literature Prize in the picture book category. The Polish branch of IBBY named the Polish edition of the book Book of the Year 2011 in the Picture Book category, and it received an Honorable Mention for the Literature Prize. Miss Esther's last performance was nominated in 2014 for the German Youth Literature Prize in the non-fiction category. In the same year the authors of Miss Esther's last performance were awarded the renowned Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize for books for children and young people .
