Gina Wenzel

Gina Wenzel (* 1985 in Düsseldorf ) is a German screenwriter and film director .

Life

Gina Wenzel, born in Düsseldorf, initially completed several internships at various theaters in Germany and England after graduating from school before successfully completing a degree in social pedagogy in the Netherlands in 2012. She later started working as a freelance documentary filmmaker specializing in social issues. Up until 2016, he studied "Film and Sound" at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.

In 2019 she completed her postgraduate studies with a focus on screenwriting and directing at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne with distinction. Her short films have been presented at over 200 national and international film festivals and have won film awards. Two of her films received the film rating "particularly valuable".
