Gintautas Kovalčikas

Gintautas Kovalčikas (born July 1, 1947 in Maldabūdis , Prienai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian forestry manager of Lithuania and a former politician , deputy minister and forestry minister of Lithuania .

Life

From 1966 to 1969, Kovalčikas worked in the Kaunas Forestry Company and from 1969 as a district forester of Vandžiogala . From 1969 to 1971 he served in the Soviet Army . From 1971 to 1972, Kovalčikas worked in the Jonava Forestry Department as a district forester in Dumsiai . From 1972 to 1977 he completed his diploma studies at the Faculty of Forest Management at Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija . From 1972 to 1978 he worked as a technician and engineer and from 1978 to 1985 as a senior engineer in the Jonava Forestry Department . From 1990 to 1994 he was Vice Minister and then Minister at the Lithuanian Forestry Ministry . From 1994 to 2001 he was deputy director and from 2001 to 2011 director of UAB “Liforė”, a forestry company.
