Giorgi Turkia ( Georgian გიორგი თურქია * 17th May 1972 ) is a from Georgia originating handball player .

Turkia played from 1997 to 1999 for Vardar Vatrostalna Skopje , in the 2000/2001 season at Stralsund HV , then at HSG Mülheim-Kärlich / Bassenheim and since 2001 at Panellinios Athens .

At the Stralsund HV, Turkia played in the 2nd handball Bundesliga . With Skopje and Athens he played in the European Cup Winners' Cup (1997/98, 1998/99, 2001/02) and with Athens also in the EHF Champions League (2002/03, 2004/05), in the EHF Cup (2003/04 ) and in the EHF Challenge Cup (2005/06).
