Life

Rebuffi began drawing comics while still studying medicine . In 1949 he made his debut with the humorous comic book Sceriffo Fox in Gaie Fantasy magazine . In the following year Rebuffi, who had dropped out of his studies to concentrate entirely on drawing comics , took over the funny Cucciolo e Beppe animal created ten years earlier by Rino Anzi and Giuseppe Caregaro . Rebuffi was so successful with this that Cucciolo e Beppe got its own magazine a year later. For Cucciolo e Beppe he created the Tiramolla series in 1952 , which also got its own magazine in 1959. Other series started by Rebuffi in the 1950s and 1960s were Lupo Pogacioff , Grifagno Sparagono and Professor Cerebus . In 1968 he founded the Bierreci studio together with Luciano Bottaro and Carlo Chendi , who a year later wrote the text for Commesso Viaggiatore . From 1970 Rebuffi drew various Disney series for Topolino magazine , but also worked on his own series at the same time. From 1989 he drew several episodes of Pif le Chien for the French magazine Pif Parade . In 1996 Rebuffi was involved in L'Ultima Ballata , a posthumous tribute to Hugo Pratt .

In the German-speaking countries, several of Rebuffi's works appeared in publications by Semrau Verlag in the 1950s . The publisher Illu Press published the paperback Cuno Clever in 1978th
