Giovanni Pietro Pinamonti
Giovanni Pietro Pinamonti SJ (born December 27, 1632 in Pistoia , Tuscany , Italy , † June 26, 1703 in Orta San Giulio ) was an Italian Catholic priest and writer of ascetic scriptures.
Life
Giovanni Pietro Pinamonti entered the Society of Jesus in 1647 . As a people's missionary in central and northern Italy, he was a companion of Paolo Segneri SJ for 26 years , whom he supported authoritatively. Together with Johannes Eudes and Joseph de Gallifet , he is considered the most important patron of the devotion to the Heart of Mary in his time.
