Giovonnie Lavette Samuels (born November 10, 1985 in San Diego , California ) is an American actress .

Career

Giovonnie Samuels began appearing on the comedy show All That in 2001. She quickly became one of the most popular actresses there, alongside Jamie Lynn Spears and others. Samuels also starred in episodes of Raven Looks Through as Raven's cousin Betty Jane. She also played for Boston Public .

Samuels dubbed Bill Cosby's animated series Fatherhood , which ran on NICK Comedy . In 2006 she appeared in the film Girls United - All or Nothing , the third Girls United film . She appeared as an extra in Raven-Symoné's " Backflip " video and in the film Freedom Writers (2007). She also starred in the film Christmas At Water's Edge . In July 2007 she got a supporting role in the series Hotel Zack & Cody . There she played Nia Moseby, Marion Moseby's niece. Samuels represented Ashley Tisdale , who was absent from the filming of High School Musical 2 .
