The Giro Solution GmbH is a financial services provider in the DSV group with seats in Frickingen and Stuttgart. The company is primarily active in cashless payment transactions in the area of e-government and e-commerce. GiroSolution is also the acquirer for the online transfer process giropay , for which it has been the exclusive partner in the area of direct sales since 2012.

E-government
As a competence center, GiroSolution GmbH is the first point of contact for savings banks and public institutions for e-government . Public institutions are supported with solutions for the implementation of digitization and legal requirements. In addition to offers for e-payment , e-billing , municipal portfolio management or eID, solutions in cooperation with the above units such as full-service forms or chatbots round off the portfolio. Thanks to the bundled services, savings banks can support their public institutions on site on their way to becoming a digital municipality.
E-commerce
GiroSolution offers services as a payment service provider (PSP) and acquirer based on the multi-payment solution GiroCheckout that it has developed and operates . Acquiring at GiroSolution refers to European online transfer procedures such as giropay from Germany, eps online transfer from Austria and iDEAL from the Netherlands.
In the credit card business, GiroSolution arranges acceptance contracts for VISA , Mastercard , Amex or JCB . In addition, GiroSolution also offers the processing of the SEPA direct debit .
For technical integration in online shops, GiroSolution offers plug-ins for various standard shop systems, such as B. magento , oxide etc. An API is available for individual integration. In addition, GiroSolution has its own integration of UATP, which enables the integration of online payment methods such as B. giropay allows. There are also separate interfaces to various other payment service providers, e.g. B. for processing credit card or direct debit payments.
Reference customers of GiroSolution include Lufthansa , CTS Eventim , Bigpoint and Rakuten Germany .

GiroSolution as a subsidiary of the DSV Group
On April 20, 2015 it was officially announced that the holding company of the DSV Group (Deutscher Sparkassenverlag) , S-Payment GmbH, will buy GiroSolution AG. The company acquisition was completed in 2015. At the end of 2016, GiroSolution AG was converted into a GmbH and the management was newly appointed.
GiroSolution is the exclusive provider in the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe for online payment solutions for e-government processes. This is a strategic business area for the savings banks in order to offer their guarantors (municipalities) their own online payment solutions.
Since 2019, GiroSolution has been converted into a service provider for the digitization of services of general interest. In the future, customers will primarily be federal and state authorities as well as local authorities and local companies.
