Gisela Färber

Gisela Färber (born March 26, 1955 in Ratingen ) is a finance scientist at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . Gisela Färber is an expert on social policy and public budgeting, especially subsidies . She is best known in public as a member of the Rürup Commission .

life and career

Gisela Färber studied business administration and economics at the Technical University of Darmstadt and at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. 1978 diploma, 1983 doctorate at the Technical University of Darmstadt and 1992 habilitation at the University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . 1993/1994 Research Associate and Deputy Managing Director at the German Institute for Research on Federalism in Hanover. 1994 professor for the subject of local finance and local economy at the University of Trier . Since 1996 she has been a professor at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer for political economics , in particular economics.

From 2006 to 2011 Färber was a member of the National Regulatory Control Council .
