Gisela Steinhauer (* 1960 in Aachen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German presenter for radio and events as well as a freelance journalist.

Life

Steinhauer studied German , journalism and theology at the universities in Aachen , Münster and Exeter .

She worked as a reporter and presenter for the Belgian Broadcasting Corporation (BRF) and traveled to Africa, Asia and Oceania as an editor for “ MISSIO ”. Since 1995 she has moderated the “Mittagsmagazin”, the “Montalk” regularly at WDR 2 and since 2008 her own program “Sonntagsfragen”. She also leads through the “table talk” at WDR 5 and is part of the team of moderators for the radio section of Deutschlandradio Kultur in Berlin. Since the program reform on June 21, 2014 in Deutschlandradio Kultur, Gisela Steinhauer has often moderated the program “In Conversation”.

In addition, Gisela Steinhauer works as a moderator of talks, congresses, galas and panel discussions for commercial enterprises, associations and ministries.

Awards

  • 1992: Kurt Magnus Prize for above-average performance in radio journalism
  • 2002: RADIOJournal-Rundfunkpreis in the category “Most Interesting Conversation” for her outstanding interviewing of the program “HörenSagen - Im Interview”.
  • 2012: German Radio Prize in the “Best Interview” category for the program “WDR 2 Sunday Questions” on May 20, 2012
  • 2020: "Press Duck" for excellent journalistic work (awarded by the Aachen Press district association in the German Association of Journalists)
