Attractions

The gardens of the Château du Pin are Jardins remarquables, which have been awarded “remarkable” by the French Ministry of Culture . The gardens are decorated with works by the sculptor Martine Diersé and have been open to the public since 2002.

The building was built in the 12th century as a castle for the de Chanaleilles family and remodeled in 1591. The family lived there until the 18th century. The parish priest later acquired the property and was murdered in 1800. The property was divided into four parts and sold as a national property. Only in the 20th century were the parts of the property reunited. In 1957, the expressionist painter Colette Bonzo (1917–1967) bought the Château du Pin .
