Attractions

Labeaume is considered one of the most beautiful villages in France and has existed since the 12th century. The village is built into the slope of the "Gorges de la Beaume", with the village square directly on the left bank of the Beaume river . Since 1998 it has been called "Village de caractère".

The numerous narrow and winding streets between the houses of the village are worth seeing. The historic town center is shaped by the Catholic church "Saint Pierre", which has existed since the 14th century, the church tower of which is supported by two large columns. An approx. 100 year old stone bridge leads over the Beaume, which was built without a railing to protect against the spring and autumn floods from the Cevennes . This area is also used for swimming by locals and tourists.

Labeaume is the venue of the annual summer music festival "LabeauMe en Musiques".
