Lavilledieu is a French commune with 2,122 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the south of the department of Ardeche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Le Teil and has been part of the Bassin d'Aubenas municipal association since 2017 .

Lavilledieu lies on the edge of the plateau of the lava and basalt plateau of Coiron , east of the Ardèche valley , around ten kilometers east of Aubenas .
