Tauriers

Tauriers is a French commune in the Ardèche department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region with 192 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the Val de Ligne municipal association . Between December 1, 1974 and December 31, 1988, Tauriers was part of the municipality of Largentière .

The Catholic residents of Tauriers belong to the Roman Catholic parish of Saint Joseph au Pays de Ligne of the Viviers diocese .

Tauriers is located in southern France in the Massif Central on the edge of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park , 110 kilometers northeast of Montpellier , 1.4 kilometers northwest of Largentière, the seat of the sub-prefecture of the Arrondissement , at an average altitude of 361 meters above sea ​​level . The Mairie stands at a height of 413 meters. Neighboring communities of Tauriers are Joannas in the northwest, Rocher in the northeast, Chassiers in the east and Sanilhac in the southwest. The municipality has an area of ​​451 hectares, the Ligne runs on its eastern border.
