Joannas is a French commune in the Ardèche department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region with 302 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

geography

The mountain village of Joannas is located approx. 10 km northwest of Largentière . The municipality is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park . The municipality also includes the two hamlets La Blache and Serre-Champ , which are on the D5 départemental route towards Col de la Croix de Millet . Until the French Revolution , the now independent municipality Rocher belonged to Joannas.
