Jaujac in the Lignon valley

Jaujac is a French commune with 1,228 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardèche department . It belongs to the canton of Haute-Ardèche in the Arrondissement Largentière .

Jaujac is located in a former volcanic basin, the crater of which is clearly recognizable. The Lignon flows through the village with its steep banks made of volcanic basalt. The municipality is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park , the park administration is also located in the village.

The Col de la Croix de Millet, an elevation, is located in Jaujac and Prunet .
