The Communauté de communes Ardèche des Sources et Volcans is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Ardèche department , whose administrative headquarters are in Thueyts . It is located in the center of the department and includes the upper reaches of the Ardèche from its source (French: source ). The associated area is part of the Cevennes with elevations up to 1500  m and lies in the middle of the Regional Natural Park of Monts d'Ardèche . The community association consists of 16 communities on an area of ​​268.4.9 km ² . Cédric D'Imperio is the president of the municipal association.

history

The Communauté de communes was created on January 1, 2014 as a merger of three predecessor associations, the

• Communautés de communes Sources de l'Ardèche , an association of 10 municipalities founded in 2005,
• Communautés de communes des Grands Serres , an association of five municipalities founded in 1997, and
• Communautés de communes Porte des Hautes Cévennes Ardéchoises of the two municipalities of Lalevade-d'Ardèche and Prades from 1995.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the Astet municipality left the association and joined the Communauté de communes de la Montagne d'Ardèche .

tasks

The competencies required include developing and promoting economic activities and tourism. The community association operates the garbage collection and disposal as well as the road maintenance service. The association also builds and maintains sports facilities.
