The Communauté de communes de la Montagne d'Ardèche is a French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Ardèche department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It was founded on December 16, 2016 and comprises 28 parishes. The seat of the administration is in the place Coucouron .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

with access to the municipalities of Astet , Borée , Lachamp-Raphaël , La Rochette and Saint-Martial from other associations of municipalities.

With effect from January 1, 2019, the previously independent municipalities of Saint-Laurent-les-Bains and Laval-d'Aurelle were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Saint-Laurent-les-Bains-Laval-d'Aurelle , which was incorporated into the association of municipalities . This reduced the number of municipalities in the association of municipalities from 29 to 28.
