It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019, by merging the previous municipalities of Saint-Laurent-les-Bains and Laval-d'Aurelle . Since then, these have been Communes déléguées . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Laurent-les-Bains.
