geography
Montpezat-sous-Bauzon is located about 60 kilometers west-southwest of Valence on the Fontaulière and is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park . Montpezat-sous-Bauzon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Burzet in the north and northeast, Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier in the east, Meyras in the southeast, Thueyts in the south, Barnas in the southwest, Le Roux in the west and Saint-Cirgues-en-Montagne in the north-west.
