geography

Malarce-sur-la-Thines is located in the valleys of the Chassezac and Thines rivers in the Cevennes . The municipality is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park .

history

The municipality was created in 1975 through the merger of the formerly independent villages Malarce, Lafigère and Thines. There is a Resistance memorial in the village of Thines .
