Péreyres is a French municipality with 439 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Ardèche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .

geography

It is located in the northern Hochcevennen , in the valley of the river Bourges , in the middle of mountains of volcanic origin. Péreyres is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park . The next largest city is the municipality of Aubenas, 25 kilometers to the south . The landscape is characterized by numerous springs, cascades and young volcanoes.

Attractions

A special tourist attraction in the municipality is the Cascade du Ray-Pic , a small waterfall consisting of two rays, the first, invisible, falling from a height of 60 meters and the second main ray from 30 meters.
