The canton Haute-Ardèche is a French constituency in the department of Ardèche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It comprises 40 municipalities in the Arrondissement Largentière and has its bureau centralisateur in Thueyts . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was expanded to around four times its size in spring 2015. In 2016 the canton name was changed from Thueyts to Haute-Ardèche.

Shape of the canton before the 2015 reorganization

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Thueyts included the 13 municipalities of Astet, Barnas, Chirols, Fabras, Jaujac, La Souche, Lalevade-d'Ardèche, Mayres, Meyras, Pont-de-Labeaume, Prades, Saint- Cirgues-de-Prades and Thueyts. Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​215.54 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 0723.
