The Canton Viviers was a 2015 French canton in the Arrondissement Privas , the department Ardèche and the region Rhône-Alpes ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Viviers . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.
The canton Viviers was 15,605 hectares (156.05 km²) and last (2012) had 14,866 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 95 inhabitants per km². It was on average at 142 m , between 55 m in Le Teil and 664 m in Aubignas .
