geography

Saint-Pierre-Saint-Jean is located between the Chassezac and Cèze rivers at the foot of the Cevennes in the south of the department. The municipality is part of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park . The next largest city is Alès , around 38 kilometers south.

history

The municipality was created on July 1, 1975 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Saint-Pierre-le-Déchausselat and Saint-Jean-de-Pourcharesse.
