Giulia Steigerwalt
Giulia Louise Steigerwalt (born April 13, 1982 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actress of Italian descent.
Life
Steigerwalt lives and works exclusively in Italy . She received her doctorate in philosophy cum laude. She then did a Masters in Film Art Management at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Rome .
In 1999, Steigerwalt made her film debut in Come te nessuno mai , directed by Gabriele Muccino . The film L'ultimo bacio was subsequently made with Muccino , and in 2001 with director Marcello Cesena Mari del sud . The role of Chiara in Under the Tuscan Sun (Under the Tuscan Sun) , directed by Audrey Wells brought her in Italy and beyond greater popularity. Her portrayal of Greta in the television film Noi due was awarded a prize at the Festival del Cinema di Salerno 2007 .
