Arne Kluge began his active career at Dynamo Zinnwald . He celebrated his greatest success in biathlon as a junior athlete when he won the bronze medal in the relay competition at the junior world championships in 1989 together with Ricco Groß , Michael Lohschmidt and Mark Kirchner . After the fall of the Wall in 1989, he left Dynamo Zinnwald and went to West Germany. At the German Championships in 1992 in Oberhof , he won the bronze medal with the Bayern II relay .
