Giulio Cesare Gabussi (* around 1555 in Bologna ; † September 12, 1611 in Milan ) was an Italian conductor and composer .

He received his training in his hometown and in Ravenna with Constanzo Porta . After 1580 he took over the position of Kapellmeister at the Cathedral of Forlì and from 1594 worked in the same position at the Cathedral of Milan. After a short stopover in Krakow in the service of the Polish King Sigismund III. (from around 1600 to 1602) he returned to his old position at the Milan Cathedral, which he held until his death.

His beautiful works - motets , madrigals and other compositions - are still in the spirit of the 16th century.
