The defender became an integral part of the Piedmontese team's defense in his third season when he was used in 21 games. After relegation in the summer of 1996, he left the club and signed a contract with Fiorentina . In the summer of 1999 he went to league rivals FC Bologna . After fighting for relegation in the first two seasons with Bologna, he placed with the team in seventh place in the 2001/02 season , which narrowly missed participation in an international cup competition. In the following season, Falcone was able to secure the league with the Emilian team and then moved to Sampdoria Genoa . While he reached a placement in the middle of the table in his first season with the Blucerchiati , he qualified in the 2005/05 season in fifth place for the international cup competition.
The Portuguese representative Vitória Setúbal was defeated in the first round , before Genoa failed in the group stage after losing to RC Lens . Although Falcone was still part of the Genoese regular squad, the re-participation in the UEFA Cup was missed in the following two seasons. The veteran defender signed for Parma FC in the summer of 2007 . As the second from bottom of Serie A, he had to relegate to Serie B with a club for the first time in his career .
