Giulio Sanuto (* 1540 probably in Venice , † 1588 in Italy ) was an Italian draftsman and engraver .

Giulio Sanuto came from a Venetian patrician family. One of his brothers was the cosmographer and mathematician Livio Sanuto (around 1520–1576), with whom he had a close relationship throughout his life.

As a draftsman and engraver, Giulio Sanuto probably mainly reproduced pictures by well-known painters such as the procession of the Bacchantes by Domenico Campagnola (1500–1564) or The Holy Family with Saints by Raphael (1483–1520).

The participation of Giulio Sanuto in the work of his brother was very significant. Together with Livio Sanuto, he made earth globes, engraved maps for his Africa Atlas ( Geografia dell 'Africa ) and published it in 1588 (twelve years after Livio's death). - Without the energy of Giulio Sanuto, this remarkable geographical work by Livio Sanuto would probably never have been made available to mankind.
