Giuseppe Buonamici

Giuseppe Buonamici (born February 12, 1846 in Florence ; † March 17, 1914 there ) was an Italian pianist, music teacher and composer.

Buonamici studied from 1868 to 1870 in Munich with Hans von Bülow and Josef Rheinberger . After Bülow's departure he became a piano teacher at the Royal Music School. From 1873 he worked as director of the choir association and piano teacher at the Instituto Musicale in Florence.

Buonamici emerged as the editor of piano compositions by Beethoven and Schubert . In addition to piano pieces, he composed a string quartet, an overture and songs.
